The Intro program welcomes newcomers. In-Depth expects familiarity with EA and attendance at seven of eight discussions. These are CEA’s international courses; local EA UW interest is collected separately.
Ten months from January 2027. $1,000/month. Around 15–20h/month outside travel; three required US trips with travel covered.
Who it fits
For PhD students or graduate-degree holders. Polish citizens meet the nationality criterion; check all requirements.

Requires a graduate degree or current PhD enrolment. Citizenship is limited to NATO countries, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea. Polish citizens meet this nationality criterion. All meetings and three US trips are required.
One-year paid fellowship: training plus newsroom placement. Primarily US, UK or Hong Kong work rights; visa sponsorship uncommon.

A stretch option for graduating students with strong writing and journalism or AI expertise. Full-time from June 2027.

Remote-first, paid ten-week fellowship, 14 June–20 August 2027. EU-based fellows: £1,000/week. Required US convening; eligible travel covered.
Who it fits
Advanced law students with strong EU, UK or US legal knowledge. Full-time summer; Washington convening required.

Strong legal grounding and knowledge of EU, UK or US law are generally expected. Past fellows include final-year undergraduate law students and graduate students. Attendance at the Washington convening is required. Visa support is considered case by case.
Free, 30-hour mentored project. Coding confidence expected for coding projects; written projects also possible.
Who it fits
Early researchers and technical students with AI safety foundations. Course graduates prioritised; equivalent knowledge considered.

BlueDot prioritises graduates of its technical course and considers equivalent knowledge. Coding projects require coding experience; the program also allows written projects.
